Maybe after the round someone could shoot down to Venice and ask the junkies not to camp on the beach. My wife and six month-old son have been too intimidated to walk along the water because of the encampment.
just to say hi... i don't see many comments arround, so... here you go... and... i just want to say you, that we in Croatia (Europe) know for your Police Department... go on... :)
What if you develop and dedicate a section of the blog to reporting crime and suspicious activity?
For example you can have one tab for the regular announcements, and one tab for asking the public for help with getting clues to crimes.
I think it could be an incredible asset to the force. Many people are intimidated about calling in police tips.
Also maybe a separate tab for general feedback.
And possibly an open forum when particular issues are addresses adn the cheif and other officers can respond.
comments can become overwhelming even with moderation.
And having a blog where people can give honest feedback will generate enormous interest for the police force, and thus generate enormous support and more neighborhood awareness.
One portion of the blog also should remain comment free. That way there can be a place with control, one for unmonitred feedback.
Thank you for this important innovation. I look forward to seeing how it can help not only raise awareness about what officers are doing in the community, but I would think it could be an awesome tool in fighting even more crime.
Hi LAPD!
congrats for your blogging initiative, i found it great idea and I think it will be very usefull. keep going with this ineractive, informative and collaborative project!
I will show thias to the police dep. of my city Concepcion, here in Chile.
As I read the reason for the LAPD Memorial Foundation, I had to wonder what or who helps the poor widow cope and her children too.
Where can a Fallen Officers wife go for compassion, understanding, and help during her durkest hours.
This foundation is a awsome support financially and in other ways too. She could also use the support of officers wives.
I can understand what she must be feeling, her hurt and pain and lack of husband, support, and future, bring fear and uncertainty for her and her family. She can count on the financial support of the Police Officers Golf Memorial, and the LAPD Wives Club!
For those of you who are reading this and know of an officers wife. Tell her about the LAPD Wives club. We need all the support we can get to better support our husbands. Here we care about the Partner behind the badge!
