Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Detectives are asking for the public's help with information on the shooting death of 34 year old Larry Kendrick Scott.
On Friday night, July 21, 2006, around 9:15 p.m., Scott was standing on the sidewalk in the 4500 block of Van Ness Avenue. The suspects, described only as two black men, drove by and shot him. The suspects fled the area in a gray sedan.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The motive for this shooting is believed to be gang related. The weapon and suspects remain outstanding.
Anyone with information is asked to call 77th Street Homicide Detectives at 213-485-1383. On weekends and during off hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAWFULL, (1-877-529-3855). Those who would like to remain anonymous are encouraged to call.
What's with this South LA nonsense? The 4500 block of Van Ness Ave is nowhere near Harbor Division or the Beach Cities.
What's next, East LA being called Middle LA?
C'mon already!

Mr. Idaho,
Unless I missed something where is the connection between Van Ness and the Harbor Area. Harbor Area is one of four divisions which make up South Bureau....

I read in the article that victim was from South Los Angeles. And the last time I checked, 77th St. Division was just about smack in the middle between the 105 and the 10 and right off of the 110, so if that isn't South Los Angeles then I don't know what is.

Hey Joe, you know what bro?
You should stay off that blow.
The 4500 block of Van Ness is located in South Bureau.
So be cool and just stay in Idaho.
