Father Abducts Daughter from her House

(UPDATE)

Detectives have ended their investigation on the kidnap incident involving 11-month-old, Deanna Alderete.  Kidnap charges were not filed because there was no custody agreement between Raul Alderete and his estranged wife.  However, Alderete is still being sought for a $4 million warrant issued by Pomona PD.

Los Angeles:  A father forcefully abducted his daughter from his estranged wife's home in North Hollywood last night.

On Wednesday, December 12, 2007, around 9:00 p.m., Raul Carrillo Alderete, 28, went to his wife's house located in the 7500 block of Irvine Avenue and forced his way into the house.  Raul then took his 11-month old daughter, Deanna Alderete.

At the time, Deanna was wearing yellow pajamas and pink stud earrings. She is 2-feet tall, light skin, Hispanic toddler with brown eyes, and weighs about 28 pounds.  Deanna has some of her teeth growing in, with a gap in the front.  She also has a strawberry colored birthmark on her right hand and a mole on her right cheek.

Raul is wanted for additional crimes stemming from an unrelated case earlier this year.  He is a male Hispanic, 5'09, thin build, weighing approximately 160 pounds.  He has a scar on his left eyebrow, three dots next to his right eye, and a short dark goatee.  Raul has the name "Desiree" and the words "Hecho in Pomona" (made in Pomona) tattooed on the back of his neck.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, checkered flannel jacket with red lines on it, dark blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

A photograph of Raul and Deanna is being attached.  If you do not receive a copy, please contact the Media Relations Office.
