Los Angeles: On December 21, 2007, a 44-year old man arrested for solicitation of an undercover police officer died a day later at a local hospital while in police custody. The man died from complications of methamphetamine and cocaine in his system, authorities said.
At 7:00 p.m., Los Angeles police vice officers arrested Jose Arocho during a prostitution sting operation in the 6400 block of Figueroa Street.
After police placed Arocho in a sobering cell, he began to sweat profusely and was immediately taken to the jail dispensary doctor for treatment.
Moments later, paramedics transported Arocho to California Hospital where he was admitted, and later died.
Force Investigation Division is handling the investigation.
I feel so bad. This man must have been some asset to LA's Hispanic community.
Hopefully FID does a bang-up job and wastes more OT investigating a big nothing.

Zombie hunter you really have a problem don't you? You need some psychological counseling. I hope you are not on the force patrolling the streets because if you are, then Risk Management needs to place a flag on you! And before you fire a salvo back at me, no, I'm not a bleeding heart liberal...he was not an upstanding member of society, ANY society, whether it be Hispanic or the community at large. Keep your racism out of your comments or to yourself.

Mia, you must be a graduate of the LA school systems. Here is the definition of racism:
racism: belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
Now where is the racism in Zombie's post?
If you can't hang with the big dogs in the un-PC world of policing, go hang with the house cats elsewhere.

I agree with Mia. If you are really a cop "GOD HELP US". The remark you made was RACIST.

He was from a Puerto Rican family, but was born in the US. I went to grade school and 2 years of highschool with the man. He apparently couldn't beat his demons. May he rest in peace. A note to Zombie hunter. I was a cop for over 10 years. One day you too will be judged. Be careful

BiG Redcat, isnt Puerto Rico still a colony of the US? That makes your junkie friend a US citizen.I too looked up the word racist and this post doesn't even come close to the word.
People drop that word when they have no ammo left to counter punch in a verbal argument. Get a life and then get a dictionary!

Learn how to read. I said I knew him in highschool and I didn't call anyone a racist. PS. Relax dude. You seem a bit uptight.
