What a horrific sight for officers on scene. A child wrecked and left like a rag doll just days before Christmas. Poor little girl. Barely a month since the other child, a 14 year old boy. Same officers. Same outcome. Also in this division, two officers creamed in an intersection by a drunk in the middle of the day. I heard they will be okay; I hope that is true. My friends in 77th had to bury a comrade a couple of weeks ago. Most of the people in the city go on shopping oblivious to it all. You would think in this blog, there would be an expression of humanity; of grief, or compassion or appreciation now and then... something real... some indication of understanding, of tolerance, of hope... some encouragement. I get more peace at the cemetery with the mothers and sisters of officers and soldiers who have passed than I do from reading this blog. What is the vision for the department, for the city, for our world? If we cannot even see the good that is here and now; if we cannot claim that for ourselves and others in this day; what hope have we for a better day? Am I going to read this next year only to hear tales of more dog bites and cock fights and dead children? Even the jokes in this blog are twisted, except for Gabe's. And now that I've said how I feel in this moment, you will either rise to attack, or even more ugly, just ignore me. I think I need to go where people care more about themselves and others. Like the Pied Piper of Hamlin, taking your law enforcement officers with me, since its too late to save the children of your city.

LovesLeos,

We joke because the abnormal becomes normal. So to us the jokes aren't twisted.

It's a cop thing, you wouldn't understand.

Capice?

Loves LA LEO's,

WHAT????!!!! I can't make heads or tails of your statement. I felt like I was listening to one of my clients.
