This is such a horrible tragedy. The officers did all they could to help the victim. Sometimes, victims make decisions that have devastating outcomes. I feel so sorry for the victim's young daughter and family members.

I also feel very bad for the involved officers. I'm sure this incident will affect them for a very long time. I give much credit to Capt Davis who defended his officers' actions during the press conference. It's a very sad thing any way you look at it.

Sad to read this story.. Sorry to say at least the killer is dead and will not hurt another person. I will pray for the children and the family of the victim.

It's too bad Ms. Madrano couldn't be saved, this is really sad & she tried to get help. But, it sounds like her so-called boyfriend was waiting for her already & perhaps already inside her Apt. So she wouldn't have had much of a chance either at that time with the Police there, or at another time. The Police Officers tried to help and did what they could and in following procedures. Hopefully the officers will not be held responsible. Thank you officers to trying to help make our communities a better and safer place for us all to live and work in.
