Why not staff the new jail with all of the gang cops who refused to sign. They are useless.

No Citizen, they are not useless. They are outstanding officers that are standing by their principals. The department, or any employer for that matter, does not have the right to look at the financial assets of it's employees. Since many of the officers are married and have joint accounts, the department would also be able to see the spouse's financial activities. The financial disclosure is an absolute invasion of privacy and would not show any signs of corruption.

I disagree. The company I work for has a lot of rules that I don't, but if I want the job I have to do what I'm told. Sign it or move on.

Ummm Citizen...they are moving on by not signing it. You failed to make a point...again.

Let's be clear about what has occurred, plain and simple, when the public does not support its own police department, the public is damaging the reputation of that police department. The old cliche "thankless job" is sad but true. It's the same people who make frivilous complaints, get upset about response time, etc, are the same ones who don't have seem to have too much time on their hands and are not taking ownership for their shortcomings.

They should be fired. They have put themselves above everyone in the city. I'm sure we find plenty of cops to take their places that are willing to sign, FIRE DEMOTE THEM ALL.

Real Citizen,
How dare you claim that these officers are worthless. I got to know one of my gang officers and by my gang officer I mean the man that worked the gang unit at Hollebeck. He was no is a great cop. He took my problem and worked on it for just one week and the problem was taken care of. This after dealing with other staff on the phone tyring to get the problem resolved. What he did in that one week was remarkable. Could anyone else may be have done it, quite possibly but everytime I gave them the chance especially my SLO officer the answer I got was well I'll see what I can do I don't normally work those hours. Those hours were hours when the problem was happening. So to my gang unit at Hollebeck I was not happy to see some of you leave but I understand why. I just hope that the new unit does half as well. And to Officer Rivera thank you for taking care of a year long problem in such a short time. My mother's life and peace has been just what it should be in her own home.

Well I happen to agree with the citizen. Too me it's a slap in face to the citizen's of Los Angeles and to the L.A.P.D. command staff. If you let these cops get away with this crap then what next oh we don't like this we are just not going to do it. No way! When your boss tells you these are the new rules, you have too do as you are told or you should be demoted to the lowest rank possible given the worse job and forced to quit. We are in charge not the rank and file nor the worthless Union.
