December Media Availability

Chief Media Availability podcast

On Thursday December 6, 2024 Chief of Police Charlie Beck held his monthly media availability to discuss several issues with members of the press. Chief Beck provided crime statistics and discussed the expansion of the Department’s Lock it, Hide it, Keep it campaign developed to address property crime in the City.

Chief Beck recognized the heroic actions of Sergeant Roland Fogel and Officer Leroy Alley, Foothill Division, who resuscitated an infant child who had fallen into a toilet. LAPD officers and their rescued and adopted dogs joined Chief Beck in unveiling the 2013 Voice for the Animals Calendar.
