Police Commissioner President Steve Soboroff, Commissioner Kathleen Kim, and Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa were present at today’s weekly meeting. Commissioner Sandra Figueroa-Villa and Commissioner Kathleen Kim congratulated the LAPD for having Captain Phil Tingirides and his wife, Sergeant Emada Tingirides invited to attend the State of the Union by President Barrack Obama and the First Lady. Commissioners stated the invitation to the State of the Union was a reflection of the LAPD as a whole.
Assistant Chief Michel Moore indicated it was too early to comment on crime statistics but the Department is paying close attention and ensuring resources are properly deployed.
The Department’s Report, dated January 9, 2015, relative to the Supplemental Police Account Third Quarterly, as set forth (BPC #15-0005), was approved and transmitted to the City Council, the Office of the City Controller.
The Department’s Report, dated January 9, 2015, relative to the destruction of obsolete duplicate records for Rampart and Harbor Areas, as set forth (BPC #15-0006), was approved and transmitted to the City Clerk, Records Management Officer.

The Department’s Report, dated January 9, 2015, relative to the Budget Modification for the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Areas, as set forth (BPC #15-0008), was approved and transmitted concurrently to the Mayor and City Council.
Captain III John Egan and Community Police Advisory Board (C-PAB) representative provided a verbal presentation and update regarding community initiated problem solving, crime strategies, and other programs and goals within the West Valley Area.
