March 23, 2025
Chief of Police Charlie Beck said there were 22,000 participants in the Los Angeles marathon this past Sunday. He said the event went very well due to the organizers and people who policed it. Chief Beck said Robert Durst was arrested for the murder of Susan Berman. Chief Beck looks forward to bringing him to trial in Los Angeles on those charges. Chief Beck intends to process paperwork for the termination of an LAPD Probationary officer wanted in conjunction with a homicide that occurred in Pomona. The probationary officer allegedly shot and killed an individual while he was off-duty, and failed to report work.
