Robbery Homicide Division Seeks the Public’s Help in Identifying Sexual Assault Suspect
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery Homicide Division is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the attempted sexual assault of an 80-year-old woman.
On June 18, 2016, during the early morning hours, the suspect entered the victim's apartment building located near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Ivar Avenue in Hollywood, California. The suspect took the elevator to the upper floors of the building and knocked on the apartment door of the victim. When she opened the door he pushed his way in, attempted to sexually assault her, severely beat her, and then fled the location.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local area hospital for medical treatment.
Detectives assigned to RHD, responded to the retirement complex and coordinated an investigation.
The suspect is described as a male Black, black hair, brown eyes, 6'0" tall, 220 pounds, 25-30 years of age, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with "PENN STATE" in white letters on the front, black baggie jeans, and black shoes.
