South Los Angeles Juvenile Shot and Killed

Los Angeles:  A young man died after he was shot Saturday night in the Green Meadow area of South Los Angeles.

On June 10, 2006, around 8:55 p.m., 15-year-old Victor Walter Thelton Wells, Junior, was standing in front of an apartment in the 100 block of East 97th Street.  He was approached on foot by a male Black suspect.  The suspect fired multiple rounds at Wells, striking him numerous times, then ran east on 97th Street toward San Pedro Street. 

An unknown witness flagged down Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics.  Wells received medical treatment at the scene and was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries on June 11th.

Police are requesting the public's assistance in solving this murder. Man Shot in Front of Liquor Store

Los Angeles: Police are asking for the public's help in capturing a gunman who shot and killed a man Saturday night in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.

On June 10, 2006, shortly before midnight, Marcos Vasquez, 28, was standing outside a liquor store in the 5100 block of West Pico Boulevard, when he became involved in an altercation with another man. The suspect shot Vasquez several times, then ran to a waiting car in a nearby parking lot, and fled in an unknown direction.  Vasquez also ran from the location, south on Meadowbrook Boulevard, before collapsing. He later died at a local hospital.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male Black, 5'6"-5'9" tall, 140-160 pounds, wearing a red shirt and dark pants.  The vehicle was a dark 4-door sedan, unknown license plate.  The weapon and suspect are still outstanding.

Police are requesting the public's assistance in solving this murder. Missing, A Los Angeles Engineer Editor

Mr. Dornheim, a Senior Engineer Editor for a magazine based in Los Angeles, was found dead in his car Monday at the bottom of a Malibu-area ravine.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies spotted the car of Michael Dornheim, 51, senior engineering editor for Aviation Week & Space Technology, while patrolling Malibu by helicopter about 12:45 p.m.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Michael Arthur Dornheim.  He was last seen on June 3, 2006, at the Saddle Peak Lodge restaurant in Calabasas, at about 10:30 p.m.Nr06255

On June 3, 2006, Mr. Dornheim joined friends for dinner at the Saddle Peak restaurant.  At about 10:30 p.m. he parted from his friends and said that he was going home.  A friend said that Mr. Dornheim was planning to take the back road home, Coldwater Canyon to Mulholland Drive to the 101 Freeway.   Mr. Dornheim has not been seen since.

Mr. Dornheim is a Senior Engineer Editor for a magazine based in Los Angeles.  He is a nationally known aviation and space technology expert who has appeared on many network TV news programs over the past 22 years.

Mr. Dornheim is 51 years old and about 6'2" in height and weighs about 180 pounds, with blue eyes, and wears glasses.  He has salt and pepper hair and a beard.  Neighbors said that he is a very responsible man and always tell someone when he will be out of town.  Neighbors said that they have not seen him or his car a 1997 Honda Civic 4 door, green in color, license plate 3VAF469.
