Gang Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Los Angeles:  Gang violence claims the life of a 17-year-old South Los Angeles youth.

On October 6, 2007, at about 10:15 p.m., Jason Valdez Perez, 17, and his 18-year-old friend were standing with a group of friends in front of a residence in the 700 block of East 109th Street.

A male Black suspect walked up to the residence and fired several gunshots towards the group.  Both Perez and a second victim were struck by the gunfire.  The suspect then ran northbound on Mckinley Avenue.  He and the weapon remain outstanding.

Perez suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his upper torso and died at scene.  The 18-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for a minor gunshot wound and released from the hospital the same evening.

The motive for this shooting is believed to be gang related.

I think that the people are tired of hearing about gang related shootings. This is the time to take radical measures to counterattack them. The governmente should declare all gangs unlawful. Movilize the National Guard, and along with local law agencies, search all homes in gang infested areas, apprehend gang members, confiscate their guns, drugs, money, and put those gangsters in jail, so everybody can be safe in the streets of Los Angeles. IT IS TIME TO ACT NOW. STOP CRIME.

This article shows how brutal is the terrorism impossed by these gang members. It is time for the authorities to take real radical measures, no more talking to gang members, encarcerate them for life, they don't belong free in our society. They are the real terrorists in jour country. Use the National Guard to work together with the local law agencies, conduct a search house by house in gang infested areas, encarcerate these gangsters, confiscate their weapons, drugs. EXTERMINATE THE PROBLEM, DO NOT JUST APPLY BAND AIDS.

I AGREE BRING IN THE NATIONAL GUARD AND LOCAL POLICE. THE POLICE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HIT UP THE GANGSTA'S THE WAY GANGSTA'S HIT UP INNOCENT FOLKS. I THINK ANYONE LOOKING FOR TROUBLE SHOULD NOT HAVE RIGHTS UNTIL THEY EARN THEM. THIS STUFF IS SO SICKENING AND OLD ALREADY AND ALL THE YOUNG INNOCENT LIVES THROWN AWAY FOR SOME NONSENCE.
