If the Consent Decree Monitor, U.S. District Court Judge Gary Feess Jr., members of the Los Angeles Police Commission, and certain components of the LAPD’s command staff are so eager to have the onus of the Financial Disclosure Requirement thrust upon gang and narcotics officers, they should lead by example and voluntarily submit their own financial disclosure statements, vis-a-vis the Consent Decree, to Los Angeles City Controller Laura Chick for an audit. Now, that would be impressive.

85 Police Commission Unit Citations awarded to FID for reducing the amount of time it takes to produce an investigation? Apparentley working the streets isn't worthy of any Citations, only complaints.

Years ago before I started this job I drove a truck. When I first started there was no such thing as "DRUG TEST". Then a few years later we were told that we have to submit to a Drug test durning our yearly Physical, after a accident (no matter who is at fault) and random drug testing. This is without any suspicision of any wrong doing no probably cause no nothing. We were told in the interest of safety our rights to privacy came second. We would have to do it or lose our jobs. Just like the sobierty check points no probably cause that you are suspected of driving drunk we just want to check to make sure. THEY ALSO TOLD US IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE THEN WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL?? I had nothing to hide or worry about so I took the tests, each and every time. I think the same thing could be said about the FD. They just want to check to make sure that everything is on the up and up.

WAY TO GO, FID!!!!
And, exactly how many criminal filings did this produce? Um, yeah. ZERO!
So, there you have it, the new LAPD: Commendations for reducing the time it takes to not produce anything.
Where do I sign up (um, they're not covered by FD, right? Oh, that's right, FD only applies to cops who actually do anything, no risk of that at FID).

Let's see...On one hand LA city leadership professes that LAPD officers are incompetent and must be re-trained, while on the other hand they cowtow to the Federal Monitor's opinion that officers are skilled conpirators of civil rights abuses upon the populace. On one hand we're stupid while on the other we're evil genius?! Confused?? So am I, which brings me to the issue of financial disclosure for Gang and Narcotics officers. What needs to be made known is the Police Commission's vote to force officers' to publically divulge their personal finances, also forces any person who is a co-signer with the officer (spouse, parents, siblings, etc) to divulge their finances as well. DON'T SIGN IT PEOPLE!

Ron, c'mon I know your smarter than that! You were a truck driver hauling goods, not Police Officer dealing with murderous gang members who would do your family harm! I have had several green lights put on me for my dealings with said gang members as have many of my fellow Offiers! So please look at the obvious consider the very contrasting differences between being in the private sector and being a Police Officer who deals with killers! If you don't think our information will be shared with the gang members then I submitt two words for you to look up " Pitches Motion"! But that is ok, If the city of LA is not worried about gangs then, stand by for the mass exodus of said units! I have already left said unit, for just that reason, and will not go back if the FD stays in tact! It is not worth the position it puts my family in! I will still chase gangsters, but I will do it from a patrol capacity where I can do it without all the drama!
Stay Safe Warriors and remember the city will reap what it has sewn! I just pray the voters see what kind of shinnanigans are going on before to many innocent children are killed! But I doubt it!

I agree with "P" what's with the lack of citations to Officers in Patrol that have done the brunt of the work in the dropping of crime?
