12-Year-Old Boy Shot in South LA

Los Angeles: A 12-year-old juvenile was shot Thursday evening in South Los Angeles, but his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

Around 6:15 p.m., the juvenile and two of his companions were walking home from a fast food restaurant near the intersection of 84th Street and Vermont Avenue, when a gunman inside an unidentified vehicle pulled up alongside of them and open fired.  The 12-year-old boy was hit in the back and his two friends escaped injury, authorities said.

Paramedics took the juvenile to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives believe the gunman is a gang member and currently there’s no suspect or vehicle description.

The 12-year-old boy is not a gang member, police said.

This is my son and if anyone has any info regarding this please contact the detectives. The coward that did this should have have to face responsibility for his actions. I personally feel that all of those that target these innocent kids should be placed under the jail! If the shooter or someone that knows him is reading this 'trust, justice will be served I won't rest until AFTER court proceedings!' Yes, we're working with one time on this one!

No wonder there is so much violence in the ghetto! Look at how this mother reacts to her son getting shot. She had me untill the above quoted line! OneTime? How about a little respect for the men and women you are counting on to catch the shooters involved in shooting your son?! Your woring with the Police on THIS ONE,indacates that you wouldn't, but for the fact that it was your ababy this time! Pretty weak! They are called Police Officers, and this is a blog not the street corner! It takes all kinds to make the world go around!
I still hope these animal gang members are caught!
