Man Stabbed in Venice Beach

Los Angeles: A man was stabbed to death and another injured during a fight yesterday evening in Venice Beach.

At 7:00 p.m., police were dispatched to an assault with a deadly weapon radio call in the 100 block of Rose Avenue.  When the officers arrived, they found a 50-year-old man, whose name is being withheld, stabbed to death.

According to police, a fight broke out between two men on a sidewalk.  During the altercation, the victim was stabbed.

The identity of the victim is being withheld until a family member has been notified.

Thankful, that doesn't seem real fair. I was not there, but here is what I heard.

The fight started in a boardwalk bar, where the deceased hit several patrons. Including friend of the accused, whom he tried to defend.

The victim, went to the bar with weapons, including the knife that stabbed the accused.

The accused, after being stabbed managed to remove the attackers knife, which unfortunately was used against him, in self defense.

I am told the witnesses say, the victim was running down the street waving weapons and yelling that he was going to kill the accused.

Why you would just be happy that someone was jailed is beyond me, since the accused did NOT have any weapons when he went out on a friday night with friends, who he tried to defend.

Again I was not there, but i believe my post is pretty accurate, read the abc7 report on the first day, it clearly says that the weapon was that of the deceased. And clearly only used on him after the accused was in fact stabbed and managed to get it away, while saving his own life. .

Elvis, by your account, and I believe you! The "Suspect" in this case is a Hero! The justice system will prove that in a court of law! I would recommend that all of you that witnessed the event go to the LAPD Station at centinella and culver and report what you saw to the detectives! That will only HELP your friend! This city will fry him if you guys don't stand up for him. And it sounds like he was there in a moment of great need for you all. Time to make sure his story is properly told.
If what you say is true, I hope it all works out for him! Good Luck
