Los Angeles: A Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer was killed in an early-evening traffic accident yesterday while off duty in the Diamond Bar area.
Police Officer II Jacqueline Montalvo was a veteran officer with nearly 11 years of service. Most of her time with the Department was spent on patrol serving the LAPD Hollywood Area community. Montalvo was well liked by her peers and coworkers. “Jacqueline was a hard worker and sought-after partner,” said LAPD Hollywood Area Commanding Officer Captain Beatrice Girmala. “She will be greatly missed.”
Questions regarding the traffic incident that took Montalvo’s life and caused serious injuries to others should be directed to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is responsible for the investigation.

Captain Beatrice, I wondered where you were. You had to deliver death notice to me once. I am so sorry for the loss of this fine officer. Condolences to her brothers and sisters in blue, to her family, and to her friends, and to you. Stay safe, Ma'am.

Jackie you will be greatly missed we have'nt seen you in a while but you were never forgotten. I would always ask Nealisha "Where the hell is Jackie." You will always be part of our family, "our weekend sister." My mom really liked you. Now she will be waiting for you with open arms to welcome you to heaven. With all of our love, Erica Byrd-Silva and the rest of the Byrd family.
God Bless You
Jackie

Jackie you were my neighbor. Our dads were friends. I remember your window open and you'd be playing your music. I was proud you became a Los Angeles Police Woman. Life was many trials and stuggles. I am proud to have known you. Guess I shold have told you before you left this lifetime. Mona Garcia & Tony Garcia
