I along with the majority of news bloggers agree with the findings of LAPD regarding Daniele Watts. After seeing new photos that show a possible act of lewd conduct, your officers did right

I have fount it very interesting comments on news articles have shifted as additional information has been released. Comments started very negative for LAPD on 1st news reports and had MAJOR shift after audio & photos were released.

For me the second I heard the officers as her for ID & she started walking away there was no wrong doing on the officers part. Its general knowledge if asked for ID you produce it & certianly dont than decide to walk away. Any person, any color will get the same treatment if doing what Ms Watts did.

First and foremost, thanks to the citizen(s) that reported this offensive and illegal act committed by Ms. Watts and her mate. LAPD arrived , investigated and completed a thorough field investigation! Ms. Watts is not above the law and must submit to reasonable and lawful orders by the authorities, which she did not! Throwing the " Race Card" failed this time. The officers in this incident were above and beyond professional! It was Ms. Watts that made a fool of herself. I have no respect for such a person; however, Kudos to those Civil Rights leaders that called for Ms. Watts to acknowledge her wrong-doing and over-reaction to this incident. Ms. Watts you and your mate screwed up, no pun intended, and need to face the music!

So does this cancel the racial profiling 1.28 these officers are probbably still faced with? Do countless man hours go to waste? Do the citizens of this city still have to fund all the baseless allegations of misconduct? Does a shortage of field supervisors matter? Rather than having supervisors in the field simply recording "recap" or investigating pointless allegations and spending most of their time in the station, they should be freed up to actually provide guidance and supervision in the field where it matters most? How about that Mr Beck?

Agree 100%

Let's face it...the LAPD's imbecilic decision to prosecute Danielle Watt and companion are beyond belief. What a waste of time and resources. I guess the LAPD is all puffed up and will show her who is boss. Sometimes it is better to leave a situation alone...deploy resources where they are needed. I have heard of worst crimes. I am sure members of the LAPD have participated in similar behavior and will not be prosecuted.

just trying to get even because she embarrassed the cops. What lewd conduct? they were both fully clothed. This is stupid and a waste of tax dollars. Because she embarrassed a Sgt.

If they were not arrested on the spot for lewd conduct because at the time the officers felt there was no violation. How and why now??

LAPD doesn't decide who gets prosecuted and who doesn't - that's up to the DA's office.

Don't feel sorry from Ms. Watt at all. She was doing something illegal, she got caught, and she decided to play the race card and make it public. Good for the officers for protecting themselves with audio.

Shame on LAPD leadership including IA which wasted man hours on this ridiculousness. That's the nature of LAPD under Chief Beck and his cronies.
