On Friday, February 19, 2016, Chief of Police Charlie Beck addressed the newest members of the LAPD family. The 28 graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. This graduation ceremony took place at the Crenshaw Christian Center and was attended by over 500 family and community members.
“Thank you for entrusting you loved ones to us, your new family,” said Chief Beck to the attending family and community members. Chief Beck told the graduates, “Two things that I ask of you are simple, easy to remember. Make the City safer and build public trust.”
